I wrote awhile ago about "Taking Christians to the Bank" and it included David Barton, who is just a liar for "Christ". But, finally, the mainstream media--NPR--has finally outed Barton as he is--a con man and charlatan. You can listen here--

But, Conservative "Christians" and the Republicans love Barton. Why? Because Barton's lies fill their worldviews and Barton gets rich off of it. It is amazing the contortions Barton goes through to make his claims. Yet, those who claim they are Conservative "Christians" and Republicans love the lies. How are you Christian again? Completely believing in lies to fit your worldview? Wow, God would not approve.
This is such a good NPR interview, I won't add too much more, but Barton does say early in the program that we won't "allow voluntary prayer in schools". Not true, we do allow voluntary prayers in schools. But, the catch is any religion can have them and it won't be broadcast over the intercom. Which, if you read the Bible, Jesus wouldn't want. From Jesus in Matthew 6:5--
"And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full."
Either Barton is a follower of Christ or a hypocrite. By his words and actions he is the latter.
