Another Poll proves Republicans and Christianity don't mix

Here is the latest Pew Center Research poll and political attitudes and polarization of American politics.

What it shows is older white men with a higher income don't want the government to help out the poor and downtrodden.  It also shows that Republicans want the government to help less than Democrats or Independents by a large number.  But, you know who claims they are the biggest Christians?  Republicans.  I have heard the line that "churches should take care of the people" blahblahblah from Republicans and that is why government shouldn't help.

Hey--here is a reality check--rich Republicans never helped the people enough where they wouldn't be hungry, homeless or have a job.  Just check out the current Republican Party.  Prior to government intervention with Social Security and then Medicare, elderly people and disabled lived in squalor and misery.  Or the elderly tried to work until the died.  In the richest country in the world, we should be ashamed of ourselves.  Fortunately, FDR and then LBJ changed that.  But Christian Republicans hate it and want to dismantle these programs even though they don't have anything to replace them with and will never donate enough money to a church or charity where we wouldn't have poor, hungry and homeless in this nation.

Also, middle class Republicans for some reason think that buying a package of diapers for a poor person somehow alleviates the need for all the other diapers that poor person will need raising a child.  It is a bizarre disconnect, yet it makes them feel good about themselves while they attack the real help and that comes from the government.
